LumiBrass Works - Refund & Return Policy

At LumiBrass Works, we take immense pride in our 15 years of craftsmanship and the artisanal quality of our H65 solid brass lighting fixtures. Because our products are handcrafted to order and often customized to specific project requirements, our refund and return policy is governed by the following professional standards:
1. Custom & Made-to-Order Items (Non-Returnable)
Most of our lighting fixtures are "Made-to-Order" or "Custom Commissions."
Final Sale: Once production has commenced (24 hours after deposit/payment receipt), orders for custom-finished, custom-sized, or made-to-order brass items are considered Final Sale and are non-refundable, non-returnable, and non-exchangeable.
Reasoning: These pieces are crafted specifically for your project. The natural characteristics of H65 solid brass and hand-applied finishes (such as hand-brushed patina) mean that each piece is unique. Minor variations in texture or tone are hallmarks of artisan quality and do not constitute defects.
2. Order Cancellations
Window: You may cancel your order for a full refund within 24 hours of payment.
After 24 Hours: Since we begin the brass casting and metalwork process immediately to meet project lead times, cancellations requested after 24 hours will be subject to a 30% restocking/material fee to cover work-in-progress and raw material costs.
3. Damages During Transit
We use heavy-duty professional packaging for international shipping. However, if an item arrives damaged:
Reporting: You must notify us at info@lumibrassworks.com within 48 hours of delivery.
Proof: Please provide clear, high-resolution photos of the damaged fixture AND the original shipping box/packaging.
Resolution: For verified transit damage, we will provide replacement parts or a full replacement of the fixture at our expense. LumiBrass Works is not responsible for damages reported after the 48-hour window or after the fixture has been installed.
4. Defective Items & Warranty
Quality Assurance: If a product has a structural or electrical defect (not related to aesthetic natural brass variations), please contact us within 7 days of receipt.
Remedy: We reserve the right to repair the item or provide replacement components (e.g., sockets, wiring, or specific brass arms) before considering a full return.
Exclusions: Our warranty and return policy do not cover damages resulting from improper installation, misuse, or exposure to corrosive environments not suitable for solid brass.
5. Return Shipping (For Approved Non-Custom Returns Only)
In the rare event that a non-custom, "in-stock" item is approved for return:
Condition: The item must be in its original, uninstalled condition and in the original packaging.
Costs: The customer is responsible for all return international shipping costs, duties, and taxes. * Restocking Fee: A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from the final refund to cover inspection and repackaging.
